Mind Over Machine: Machine Learning Model Trainer for Brain Computer Interfaces
Software Design, Artificial Intelligence, Neurotechnology
October 2022 - March 2023
Mind Over Machine focuses on automating the use of machine learning with EEG data, built for the NeurotechX 2022 hackathon. The work provides a pipeline for processing and analyzing brain wave information using machine learning techniques.
The project has several interconnected components, ranging from establishing reliable data streaming connections to building and training custom classification models. By integrating BrainFlow’s existing tools with custom scripts, the system can train on new EEG datasets and then use those trained models to classify real time brain activity signals.
This project was one of the first of many of my attempts for intuitive user interfaces to train machine learning models of of biosignals. For my latest iterations, I’m continuing to experiment with the best way to create a user interface for Neuroengineering through BRIDGE.
